“In the last century, the impassioned words and actions of patriots like Winston Churchill – along with America’s heroic help and sacrifice – saved Europe. The eloquence and actions of “I’ve been to the mountaintop” Martin Luther King Jr. brought America to an unprecedented level of social justice.
The peerless oratory and tireless diplomacy of the man who would become Israel’s Foreign Minister, Abba Eban convinced the entire world that after the wanton murder of six-million Jews in the Holocaust its straggling survivors deserved their own state of Israel. The inspiring words and decisive actions of President Ronald Reagan ended the Cold War, tore down the Berlin Wall, and restored economic prosperity to America. The efforts of these towering figures resulted in a more highly-evolved world.
We have also seen the opposite in totalitarian leaders like Hitler, Mussolini, Fidel Castro, Pol Pot, Mao, and Saddam Hussein, among others, who exploited their masses, destroyed their economies, brought havoc, turbulence, grief and massive death within and outside of their countries, and made the world a more dangerous and threatening place.
The one thing all of these virtuous and evil men had in common was love for their respective countries, in fact a burning passion that superseded all else. The virtuous believed in freedom and democracy. The evil believed in subjugation of their peoples and lifetime tenures for themselves in order to actualize their goals of conquering their eternal enemies – Americans and Jews.
Today, we have a new crop of inveterate America- and Jew-haters, among them the Marxist leader of Venezuela Hugo Chavez, Nicaragua’s president Daniel Ortega, Iran’s “death-to-America-and-Israel” study-in-abnormal-psychology Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, and the ever-sabotage-America and anti-Semitic “leaders” of the 22-Arab states that surround Israel.
I have either read about or observed firsthand all of these people. Yet in my decades of commenting on the political scene, I cannot recall a single leader of any country or regime who has ever spoken negatively of his country or tolerated others speaking ill of the land or the people he represented
Until now:
Bizarre and, yes, repugnant as it is to our essentially centrist country, America now has a president who has broken that time-honored tradition. Barack Obama, on the campaign trail and as the leader of the free world is the first U.S. president to proclaim to anyone within earshot that he, like his wife, is not proud of his country, and is all-too-willing to offer serial apologies – for America! – to Americans and foreigners alike.
As Ed Lasky writes: “We know that during the campaign [Obama] warned that criticism of his wife was `off-limits’. But criticism of America – well, that is fine.”
We also know that during his run for the presidency, Obama expressed sneering condescension towards all those bible-clasping, gun-owning yahoos who “cling” to those silly things, and that in Europe he consistently gave voice to America’s supposed “sins.” But all that pales in comparison to the clear contempt – looks more like hatred to me – that Obama feels for the United States of America and for its most revered founding document, the U.S. Constitution.
In just the first 100-days of his tenure, Obama’s words and actions have demonstrated that he is no friend of the country he leads. This is only a smattering of what happened on his recent three-continent trip abroad and to Mexico:
- In France, Obama told his audience that America “has shown arrogance and been dismissive, even derisive” toward Europe.
- In Prague, Obama – in true utopian-kindergarten fashion – pledged “with conviction” that America will “seek the peace and security of a world without nuclear weapons.” In other words, destroy big bad America’s ability to defend itself!
- In London, Obama made clear that the world’s financial wealth was no longer made by those inferior leaders Roosevelt and Churchill, effectively ceding America’s leading role in creating and sharing wealth to nations that have never measured up to our country’s bountiful generosity or spirit of free-market entrepreneurship.
- In Port of Spain, Trinidad and Tobago, Obama sat passively while the Marxist Chavez handed him an American-bashing book and delivered another revile-America speech, while never once rising to defend our country.
- In Port of Spain, Trinidad and Tobago, Obama again sat passively while the Marxist Ortega blamed the United States for a century of what he called terroristic U.S. aggression in Central America, again emitting not a whisper of defense on our country’s behalf.
- In Turkey, Obama said – incredibly and inaccurately – that America was not a Christian nation.
- And in his recent trip to Mexico, Obama said that the escalating border violence was essentially America’s fault.
Scan your memory. Can you think of any other leader in world history who so consistently badmouths his own country, or fails to defend it? I can’t.
Wall St. Journal writer Dorothy Rabinowitz notes that Obama “had gone to Europe not as the voice of his nation, but as a missionary with a message of atonement for its errors. No sitting American president had ever delivered indictments of this kind while abroad, or for that matter at home. When [our allies] see Obama’s moral equivalence, they realize they are on their own and must cut their own deals to survive – understanding that multicultural trendiness is now a cynical cover for moral laxity and ‘can’t we all get along?’
Historian Victor Davis Hanson also noticed something odd about Obama’s apology tour. “Despite this fresh climate of atonement, there was a complete absence of a single apology from any other foreign leader…not a word came from Britain about colonialism…nothing from Germany on the Holocaust…not a peep from France about Algeria or Vietnam. Turkey was mum on the Armenian killings…Russia said nothing about the 30 million murdered by Stalin…Nothing came from China about the 70 million who perished under Mao…Mr. Medvedev said nothing about Putin’s brutish rule…We saw no concrete evidence of any help — or hope and change — from any foreign leader. Zilch.”
In addition, Hanson continues, “We hear nothing about our Gettysburg, or our entry into World War I. Iwo Jima and the Bulge are never alluded to. Drawing the line in Korea and forcing the end of the Soviet monstrosity are taboo subjects. That we pledged the life of New York for Berlin in the Cold War is unknown. Liberating Afghanistan and Iraq from the diabolical Taliban and Saddam Hussein is left unsaid. The Civil Rights movement, the Great Society, affirmative action, and present billion-dollar foreign-aid programs apparently never existed. Millions of Africans have been saved by George Bush’s efforts at extending life-saving medicines to AIDS patients — but again, this is never referenced.”
Blogger James Lewis says that Obama’s “obsessive need to put down his own country shows a stunningly ignorant man who has evidently never spoken to a concentration camp survivor, a Cuban refugee, a boat person from Vietnam, a Soviet dissident, or a survivor of Mao’s purges.”
And Media Research Center’s Brent Bozell adds, “Obama `gets’ the America-haters.”
Abandoning allies, Embracing enemies:
“If you are a longtime enemy of the United States, count on a grand reception from the Obama administration. All is forgiven and, worse, forgotten,” write Dick Morris and Eileen McGann. “But if you have a track record as an ally or friend, you won’t get the right time of day.”
Of course apologists for Obama & Co. point to “progress” in our foreign policy, ignoring, as Caroline Glick points out, that “America’s betrayal of its democratic allies makes each of them more vulnerable to aggression at the hands of their enemies – enemies the Obama administration is now actively attempting to appease.”
Glick lays out the cold hard facts:
- Obama abrogated America’s strategic commitment to the defense of our ally Japan when his administration reacted to North Korea’s ballistic missile test by saying the U.S. would only shoot the missile down if it targeted U.S. territory.
- Obama slapped our ally India when he refused to make ending Pakistan’s support for jihadist terror groups attacking India a central component of its strategy for contending with Pakistan and Afghanistan.
- Obama failed to assure our ally Iraq that democracy and freedom will be secured before U.S. forces are withdrawn next year.
- Obama de facto abandoned our allies in Eastern Europe when he announced his intention to forge a new alliance with Russia. “The Czech, Polish, Georgian and Ukrainian governments,” Glick says, “were quick to recognize that Obama’s strong desire to curry favor with the Kremlin and weaken his own country will imperil their ability to withstand Russian aggression.”
- Obama “is sacrificing the U.S.’s alliance with our ally Israel “in a bid to appease the Arabs and Iran by supporting the immediate establishment of a Palestinian state,” which, Glick warns, “requires Israel to commit national suicide in exchange for `peace.’” Obama also made clear “that from the administration’s perspective, an Israeli strike that prevents Iran from becoming a nuclear power is less acceptable than a nuclear-armed Iran.” In addition, Obama sent Hamas $900 million of foreign aid, “channeled through the UNRWA, a United Nations front filled with Hamas operatives”
- Obama slapped our ally England when he returned the bust of Winston Churchill to Prime Minister Gordon Brown.
- Obama slapped our ally Colombia and its president Alvaro Uribe when he refused to submit the free trade deal with Bogota to the Senate.
“What a great time to be our enemy!” Glick exclaims. “What a terrible time to be our friend!”
And speaking about appeasing Iran, the Obama administration recently asked a federal judge to throw out a $6.6-billion class-action lawsuit against Iran filed by 52 American diplomats and military officials held hostage for more than a year at the U.S. Embassy in Tehran 30 years ago. Nothing like selling out Americans to make brownie points with a bloodthirsty dictator!
Barry Rubin explains: “Friends, especially in Europe, are pleased, applaud, but then add that they don’t have to give this guy anything because he is all apologies and no toughness. They like the fact that he is all carrots and no sticks. If, however, they are states more at risk…they worry that they cannot rely on the United States to help and defend them. Enemies or potential rivals…say that this guy is weak and defeated. He apologizes, offers unconditional engagements, and promises concessions…they’ll eat the carrots and, if possible, their neighbors as well.”
NY Post writer Ralph Peters, a former military intelligence officer, sums up the hate-America core tenets of the “Obama Doctrine” as follows:
(1) We’re to blame,
(2) Problems can be negotiated away,
(3) Problems that can’t be talked out can be bought off,
(4) Islamist terrorism doesn’t exist,
(5) It’s all our fault,
(6) Israel’s the obstacle to Middle East peace,
(7) Our nukes threaten world peace and we need to get rid of them,
(8) Our military is dangerous,
(9) Our intelligence services are even more dangerous than our military,
(10) It’s only torture if we do it, and
(11) Blame President George W. Bush.
Obama is clearly not satisfied with threatening the safety of our tried-and-true allies abroad. He is also determined to undermine the bedrock foundation of America’s security – our military and intelligence agencies. By disclosing interrogation memos – and planning to release photographs associated with military probes into prisoner abuse – he has betrayed every heroic person who risks his or her life for our country, and unforgivably given aid-and-comfort to enemies who seethe with virulent anti-Americanism and lust for our demise. And in the Department of Homeland Security’s infamous memo, he has called members of our military, among others, potential domestic terrorists!
“After September 11th, the general outcry was, ‘Why don’t we have better overseas capabilities?’” said Porter Goss, director of the CIA from September 2004 to May 2006. “I fear that in the years to come, this refrain will be heard again. It is certainly not trust that is fostered when intelligence officers are told one day ‘I have your back,’ only to learn a day later that a knife is being held to it.”
How horrifying to contemplate that it is the President of the United States himself who is wielding that back-stabbing knife!
Questioning Obama’s patriotism:
Before the November election, legal scholar Henry Mark Holzer wrote – and scrupulously documented – a stunning indictment of Obama in which he stated that Obama’s repeatedly professed claim to be a patriot is “a fraud on the American people – and an insult to the countless true patriots who, for over two hundred years, have loved and loyally and zealously supported the United States of America.”
“Patriots,” Holzer concluded, “don’t associate with and derive sustenance from terrorists, America-haters and anti-Semites; they don’t countenance fixed elections; they don’t keep secrets from voters; they don’t intimidate their enemies; they don’t denigrate and degrade our military; they don’t gratuitously interfere with their government’s efforts to protect our country; and they don’t disdain the symbol of this great nation, which for over two centuries men and women have fought and died: the American flag. Whatever Barack Obama is, we can be certain that he is no patriot!”
The events that have followed Obama’s election, Holzer says, “have compounded the proof of the president’s lack of patriotism,” which he has recently spelled out in a follow-up article.
A few of the many examples he provides of what “a patriotic American president does not do include:
- Bankrupt this country and court massive inflation in order to implement his vision of a fascist/socialist nation.
- Sit on his hands with a straight face while a South American thug insults his country.
- Appoint America-haters to his cabinet.
- Cozy up to a soon-to-be-nuclear-armed Iranian madman.
- Impotently watch the probably-already-nuclear-armed North Korean Stalinists lob a ballistic missile across the Pacific.
- Fail to stanch the flow of illegal aliens across the Mexican-United States border.
- Cut the defense budget.
- Strangle innovation during a serious recession by raising taxes.
- Close Guantanamo Bay without a clue of how to handle the enemy combatants incarcerated there.
- Publicly announce what measures military and CIA interrogators can use to extract information from terrorists.
- Apologize to the world for what has made America great and grovel to persons, nations. and institutions unfit to shine our shoes!
- Cede American sovereignty to the American-hating United Nations.
- Defy the Second Amendment and a Supreme Court decision by making an end run that substantially reduces the supply of certain ammunition.
- Repudiate the policy and practice of missile shield installation.”
Some dare call it treason:
It is one thing to question a president’s patriotism, but even more serious to accuse him of treason. In an open letter to Obama on Treason, Walter Francis Fitzpatrick, III (U.S. Naval Academy, Class of 1975) minces no words in accusing the president of sending Army forces to Samson, Alabama, and Boston in violation of the Constitution.
Here are excerpts of his letter:
“I have observed and extensively recorded invidious attacks by military-political aristocrats against the Constitution for twenty years. Now you have broken in and entered the White House by force of contrivance, concealment, conceit, and deceit. Posing as an imposter president and commander in chief, you have stripped civilian command and control over the military establishment… “We come now to the reckoning. I accuse you and your military-political criminal assistants of TREASON. I name you and your military criminal associates as traitors. Your criminal ascension manifests a clear and present danger. You fundamentally changed our form of government. The Constitution no longer works….
“I identify you as a foreign-born domestic enemy. You are not my president. You are not my commander in chief.”
Fitzpatrick is not alone. John Smith – a blogger on Townhall.com, titled a recent article “Obama Is a Traitor.” Commenting on the president’s release of the “torture” memos, Smith says:
“Given the actions of Barack Obama in recent days, one has to wonder how many soon-to-be released State secrets have been gathered by radical left-wing traitors and hidden in the dark recesses of Washington, awaiting the Manchurian Candidate’s command to publish them…
“The motivation for Obama’s recent intentional disclosure of Top Secret CIA memoranda…was an act committed solely to increase his own political power through appeasement of the radical left…or was it …guided by the twisted moral imperative uniquely embraced by the Left, which dictates that only those actions that serve to limit individual liberty, punish patriotism, and destroy the traditions and culture of the United States of America are good?…
“Were Obama’s actions motivated by a deeply rooted desire to harm this Nation?…
“Article III of the Constitution defines Treason against the United States as “… levying War against them or in adhering to their Enemies, giving them Aid and Comfort…”.
“Top Secret information is the highest level of classification that we have on a national level. By definition, such material, if made public, will cause “exceptionally grave damage” to national security…
“The willful disclosure of Top Secret information is an act of Treason against the United States….A sitting President of The United States of America has committed Treason.”
Fitzpatrick and Smith are among a rising tide of voices – in and outside of the military – who have observed with growing horror Obama’s proclivity to destroy our capitalist economic system, subvert the U.S. Constitution, endanger our military and intelligence services, and obsequiously embrace America’s sworn enemies.
Dr. Jack Wheeler, a consummate Washington insider, goes one step further. “The evidence that the President of the United States is a traitor is mounting. The evidence that the President of the United States is a mortal danger to America’s national security is mounting. The evidence that the President of the United States will not defend America from threats and insults from every two-bit fascist dictator in the world …is not only mounting, it is overwhelming.”
Writer Amy L. Geiger-Hammer states: “I do wonder if Obama should be called a traitor or just incompetent…does he ever talk about what a great country America is?” And UK journalist Gerald Warner echoes that rising tide: “If al-Qaeda, the Taliban and the rest of the Looney Tunes brigade want to kick America to death, they had better move in quickly and grab a piece of the action before Barack Obama finishes the job himself. Never in the history of the United States has a president worked so actively against the interests of his own people – not even Jimmy Carter.
Obama’s problem is that he does not know who the enemy is. To him, the enemy does not squat in caves in Waziristan, clutching automatic weapons and reciting the more militant verses from the Koran: instead, it sits around at tea parties in Kentucky quoting from the US Constitution. “
Is America Lost?
Multiple lawsuits to find proof that Obama is Constitutionally ineligible to be president are ongoing and will ultimately determine if he is an American or Kenyan or Indonesian or UK “natural-born” citizen.
To this date, he has spent over a million dollars blocking the suits about his still-missing birth certificate, and there is increasing evidence that the birth certificate attested to by FactCheck.org, FightTheSmears.org, and DailyKos.com are forgeries. And of course we still have not seen Obama’s Selective Service record, medical records, multiple visas, college transcripts, et al. If Obama is proven to be the fraud and interloper many suspect, every one of his edicts, bills, laws, dictates, Supreme Court selections, et al, will be overturned, leaving America to cope with serious problems – under the leadership of the incomprehensible Joe Biden – but nothing approaching this hate-America president’s far-left socialist domestic programs and appease-our-enemies foreign policy.
The huge national turnouts at the Tea Parties of April 15 were only the beginning of a movement that was spurred by ordinary Americans waking up to Obama’s destruction of our economy, his attempts to reshape America into a banana republic, the grave damage he’s inflicted on our military and intelligence services, and his unsavory predilection for embracing our enemies and apologizing non-stop for the most magnificent nation on earth.
In short, they are waking up to the president who hates his country.
Editor Charlotte Baker predicts that “the Tea Parties and other, more aggressive, protests will grow exponentially, and that the Obama juggernaut can and will be stopped.” It’s crucial, she says, “for all Americans to recall the history they learned in school – at least before the Left hijacked what used to be known as `education.’ The Europeans, Japanese and Russians were all taken over by one form or another of totalitarianism because their combined history was one of absolute rulers – kings, czars and `divine’ emperors. They were totally conditioned to tyranny. “But the monstrous anti-American gang that rigged the voting system on November 4, 2008– as they do routinely in Obama’s Chicago Machine politics – to push Obama into We-the-People’s White House, have shown – even before his inauguration – the kind of overreaching that arrogant tyrants always demonstrate.
Hitler, Mao, Tojo and Stalin all got away with overreaching, but they weren’t brutalizing Americans.
“Tolerating totalitarianism is simply not in the genetic code – the DNA – of Americans!” Baker adds.
“Freedom and Liberty run in our blood!” Indeed!”

“It’s a funny thing about itches…the more you scratch, the more you itch. This is because scratching floods your system with histamine, which causes — itching! Oh, you can get rid of the itching with an over-the-counter medication, or go to the doctor for something stronger. But people with chronic itching conditions inevitably start to believe in Hell, and view itching as among the worst punishments on earth.
My title alluded to an itch — one itch — but this is really about the chronic, relentless, agitating, but also motivating itches that affect the entire left and also Obama’s putative boss, George Soros.
Barack Obama’s itch started — if any part of his biography is to be believed — with the Marxists who raised and mentored him, inculcating in him bedrock leftist doctrines that include a deep loathing of America and its natural and glorious outgrowth, individual freedom.
Obama’s anti-Western itch continued during his schooling among Muslims in Indonesia, and was further inflamed by the far-left classmates he befriended in the American colleges he attended, with the religious leader whose anti-American and anti-Semitic “theology” he imbibed for over 20 years, and in the street-agitating career he chose as a community organizer.
In all cases, these influences provided Mr. Obama with ideas and philosophies that irritated his psyche, and to this day provoke and agitate him. They also spur him on to scratch those infuriating itches!
The usual suspects:
Those irritants, those itches, include:
Most Americans — by any measure, the overwhelming majority — who Obama has labeled “bitter” folks who cling to their guns and religion. Scratch, scratch, scratch.
America’s Founding Fathers — men like Washington, Adams, Hamilton, Jefferson, Franklin, et al. — whose monumental accomplishments are diminished, in the Marxist mind, to the size of a pea, but whose few (albeit serious) flaws are magnified to the size of a mountain. Scratch, scratch, scratch.
The U.S. Constitution and Bill of Rights, which laid the foundation for the freest, most successful, most generous nation in all of recorded history, but to the Progressive’s mentality, stop short of being perfectly “fair” to every entity from the delta smelt to the illegal alien. Scratch, scratch, scratch.
Capitalism — that surging engine of free markets and bountiful philanthropy, redeemer of poverty and misery, and route to worldwide comfort and security — if only the world were capable and smart enough to embrace it — considered by leftists the root of all evil. Not that they, themselves, don’t lust for as much money as possible, the better to engage in conspicuous consumption and all manner of nouveau-riche indulgences. But hey, this is the condescending noblesse-oblige that always redounds to tasteless, classless, finger-wagging liberals. NOTE: Go to any search engine and type in Obama’s vacations — frequency and expenses…and you’ll see what I mean.
God — at least the God of Christians and Jews. It’s bizarre — and inaccurate — that in his 2009 speech in Turkey, Obama declared that America is no longer a Christian country. According to a Pew study, nearly 80 percent of Americans are Christian, 1.6 percent Jews, and 0.6 percent Muslim. When he spoke at Georgetown University, Obama demanded that the symbol of Jesus be covered in black plywood. And have you noticed that when Obama refers to the Islamic prayer book, it is always “the Holy Koran,” but he never refers to the Jewish or Christian bibles as holy? As businessman and possible presidential contender Herman Cain has said: When the president, “on purpose,” leaves out of the Declaration of Independence the words “endowed by their Creator” — not once but three times! — “something is wrong.” Scratch, scratch, scratch.
Jews. Obama’s pronouncement that “Israel is suspicious of me” because his middle name is Hussein is so phony and calculated that it makes even uninformed people wince. In fact, JihadWatch.org points out the huge number of antagonists to Israel who staff Obama’s offices. Again, the short list: Samantha Power, the National Security Council’s Senior Director for Multilateral Affairs and Human Rights; Robert Malley, key foreign policy adviser; Zbigniew Brzezinski, foreign policy adviser; Rosa Brooks, advisor to the Undersecretary of Defense for Policy; Chuck Hagel, co-chair of the Intelligence Advisory Board…the list really does go on and on. Oops…didn’t mean to omit U.S. Representative to the sinkhole on First Avenue (aka the United Nations) Susan Rice, who recently, as is her wont, threw Israel under the bus, and Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, who recently stated that all of Israel’s settlements (meaning homes built by Israelis on Israeli land) were “illegal” — not to mention her own deep ties to Saudi money and ole Bill’s deep ties to Saudi money. Astonishingly, Israel-hater Michael Scheuer calls Obama both arrogant and racist. You can get the entire sordid list in Pamela Geller’s and Robert Spencer’s blockbuster book, The Post-American Presidency. One more thing: last week Kamal al-Halbawi became the first Egyptian Muslim Brotherhood leader to visit Tehran, where he promptly pronounced: “Every night when I go to bed, I pray to wake up the next day to see Israel is wiped off the map.” Reaction from Obama and sidekicks: a deafening silence, which is not at all surprising given that Obama has appointed members of the Muslim Brotherhood to key posts in his “administration.” Claw, claw, claw.
Racism, which Obama sees wherever he looks, even when it’s not there! But this subject is clearly the driving force of his life, and the issue he is determined not to solve but to exact revenge for what he perceives — thanks to over five decades of Marxist indoctrination — as a simple formula: whitey = bad; people of color = good. Claw, claw, claw.
Yes, every time these issues flicker across Obama’s consciousness, his rage quotient increases. It doesn’t matter how many years elapse in which progress takes place, the rage still grows, which is how leftists react whenever their unrealistic, utopian dreams are not actualized. That rage acts like an unreachable itch, the kind that makes you tear at your skin until it bleeds, but without success. The itch remains.
The projection problem:
To understand the intractability of the left’s chronic itching condition, it’s helpful to appreciate what drives them. Leftists are utopia-driven fantasists, basically fixated children who derive their dewy-eyed inspiration from the Communist-Manifesto-embracing lyrics of John Lennon’s “Imagine” (“imagine there’s no countries…no religion too…no possessions…imagine all the people living for today”).
When the grown-ups among us disagree with them, leftists more often than not refuse to debate the issues based on objective reality or empirical fact, but instead hurl gratuitous insults, call names, and resort to that old psychological stand-by, projection — in other words, blaming other people for the very words and actions they, themselves, say and do.
For instance, when Congresswoman Gabrielle Giffords got shot in the head, the left blamed the tragedy on the “incivility” of conservatives, while studiously ignoring the non-stop rudeness and crudeness emanating from their own ranks, including this gem, where a union intellectual (just kidding) threatens to break a tea-partier’s neck.
If anyone throws a paper napkin out the window or dares to suggest we drill for oil, leftists castigate them for polluting the environment, while they consistently defile every event they attend by leaving mountains of trash that cost millions to clean up — for instance the 2009 “presidential” inauguration, the left’s rally at the Lincoln Memorial in 2010, and now the temper-tantrum demonstrations at the State House in Wisconsin. Makes you wonder what kinds of homes these disrespectful slobs are raised in!
Syndicated columnist David Limbaugh has documented numerous examples of how Obama — the so-called post-racial “president” — uses projection (among other mechanisms) to address issues of race. We can skip Obama calling his grandmother “a typical white person” and accusing the Cambridge, MA, police department of “acting stupidly” when they arrested his pal, Harvard professor Henry Gates…that is old news. But here is the short list:
- Appointing Eric Holder as Attorney General, a man who has accused Americans of being “a nation of cowards” when it comes to race. Holder also dismissed a case against New Black Panther Party members for voter intimidation even though it had already been won, prompting former Justice lawyer, J. Christian Adams, to say that the case was dismissed based on the Justice Department’s policy of not prosecuting such cases against blacks when they involve white victims. Holder explained his racist decisions before a House Appropriations subcommittee last week by admitting they were biased toward “my people.” And all this time I thought that the Attorney General’s “people” were all Americans, and not his own hand-picked subset.
- Holder’s Justice Department — in both a racist and patronizing decision — also overruled a judgment to do away with party affiliation of candidates in local elections by the city of Kinston, N.C., insisting that black voters could not achieve civil rights without the Democrat Party.
- Just a year ago this month, the Obama regime filed a brief that supported racial preferences in university admissions. Now just how racist and patronizing and insulting can you get? How does Obama think the recipients of this largesse feel when they know their admissions have nothing to do with merit?
- Unrelated but equally if not more egregious is Holder’s Justice Department — no doubt at the behest of his boss — ignoring the rulings of two federal judges, one on the issue of offshore drilling (for which the Obama “administration” has been held in contempt), and the other on Obamacare — in essence spitting on both the U.S. Congress and the U.S. Constitution — two institutions revered by the American public, but clearly reviled by the current occupant of the White House.
The rage of it all:
Hard leftists like Obama comprise a negligible percentage of our electorate, but because they’ve all studied the Marxist Saul Alinsky’s Rules for Radicals — or what writer James Lewis calls Rules for Psychopaths — they have memorized Rule #1: Power is not only what you have but what the enemy thinks you have.
Lewis writes that Alinsky “called ordinary Americans ‘the enemy,’” and quotes Alinski as saying “radicals have contemptuously rejected the values and way of life of the middle class. They have stigmatized it as materialistic, decadent, bourgeois, degenerate, imperialistic, war-mongering, brutalized and corrupt…They are right….”
Hello, all you middle-class people out there who voted for Obama, the Alinsky acolyte! Now you know why gas is getting more unaffordable every day, why inflation has reduced your purchases at the supermarket to beans and pasta, why your medical care is ten times worse than it was only two years ago, why you fear that your aging parents will be death-paneled by the nightmare of Obamacare, why your quality of life has devolved steadily since 2008. (By the way, for 50 straight weeks, the majority of Americans have supported repeal of this socialized-medicine scheme).
Is it not obvious by now that it’s the middle class this cabal of Marxists is targeting for extinction?!
But what fuels the kind of rage that targets the backbone of our country, the middle-class men and women who work hard every day, sacrifice for their families, pay their bills and their sky-high taxes, believe in God, and love America?
What kind of rage motivates anyone to try to cripple and ultimately destroy the middle class, with the ultimate goal of making the entire country — except for the few oligarchs at the very top — dependent on government handouts?
It’s the rage of failure — utter, abject, measurable, decades-long failure.
What liberal rage has wrought:
Think about it. The left invented the welfare system, which, until it was overturned in 1994 by Republicans, destroyed black families, condemning generations of young people to grow up without fathers in their homes, which in turn resulted in millions of young men who might otherwise have enjoyed the bounty of the American Dream ending up uneducated, unemployed, in prison, or dead.
But liberals didn’t give up. In their unending quest to create dependency and suffocate independence — the better to maintain power and control over their straggling flock — they insisted that tax-paying citizens throw more and more and more and more money at the problems they created, as we know to no avail.
The left also touted public education, again suggesting that the consistent, across-the-board failures it produced were products not of bad teaching or left-wing curricula but of — tada! — not enough money! So again they asked taxpayers to fund their failures with more and more and more and more money, but again to no avail.
In light of the crashing and tragic failures of these and other social experiments, the left thought up Affirmative Action to make the admission process for both schools and jobs “fair.” Then they thought up Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac to make access to home-ownership “fair.”
Black conservatives have known for decades that these community-annihilating schemes were fraudulent and immoral, but just as today, they were given little air time or print space for their views and were consistently eclipsed by a largely leftist media. Erik Rush, the author of Negrophilia: From Slave Blocks to Pedestal ~ America’s Racial Obsession, explains that “Black conservatism threatens the pre-eminence and perceptual validity of [the media’s] ideology. If the Democratic Party loses a substantial portion of the black vote, they’re done for — and they know it. When conservatives of color — black and otherwise — are unleashed, they will quickly become as ubiquitous as in other areas of endeavor. The result, however, will be a death blow to Progressivism in America.”
In short, everything the left has tried to make things fairer for minority communities, to up their success quotient, has met with thundering failure, just as every leftist hero they glorify — in their Communist/Socialist/Maoist/Marxist/Leninist firmament — has failed.
That’s where their rage comes from. It’s the rage of failure. And then the unquenchable thirst — the unscratchable itch — for revenge. And that’s what we’re witnessing today, a veritable rampage of revenge on the successful middle class, on successful capitalism, on successful America.
It is these successes that the angry, vengeful left — Obama and his fulminating minions — resent and are working overtime to destroy. Instead of using the brains and energy God gave them to rethink their misguided direction, they have dug in deep, which I guess is understandable, given that a change of mind and heart would mean to them that everything they’ve believed their entire lives is dead wrong.
The problem with megalomaniacal, narcissistic, autocratic personalities is that just beneath the bluster is an eggshell-like fragility. Which is why if you tap them on the shoulder, they explode. If you challenge one of their policies, they lash out. If you take legal, constitutional steps to overturn the essentially Communistic legislation they’ve rammed through Congress, they devolve into street-fighting thugs.
The next time you see or hear a leftist holding forth, imagine the intractable, insanity-producing itching that’s going on inside of him or her. Picture the internal inflammation, the redness, the cascade of histamine that’s making the itching worse. It is this torturing condition that makes leftists so chronically dissatisfied, such doomsday addicts and incurable scratchaholics. If you itched like they do, you too would also be constantly on the borderline of insanity.
The We-the-People antidote:
When Sarah Palin burst on the national scene in 2008, the left went into paroxysms of uncontrollable itching…even an armory of prednisone would not have touched their out-of-control symptoms! They recognized Palin as a mortal threat and attacked her — and, to their shame, her children — relentlessly. The net result was that Palin’s popularity exploded and her influence grew exponentially as she directly influenced many of the races that resulted in the trouncing and bouncing of Democrats from Congress in the 2010 midterms.
When the Tea Party movement emerged in April 2009, the left again went into panic mode, summoning their equally-itching allies in the craven media to rail against and lie about those nervy advocates of small government and low taxes. The net result was drastic Democrat losses in the midterm elections.
When Arizona Governor Jan Brewer signed the Support Our Law Enforcement and Safe Neighborhoods Act (SB 1070) in April 2010, which required — according to federal law — that all illegal aliens carry registration documents, and also cracked down on those hiring or sheltering illegal aliens, the left broke their fingernails because the scratching got so bad. The net result is that Brewer won 55 percent of votes for her second term, dozens of states are seeking to emulate her actions, and she is now being mentioned for a cabinet position in a future Republican administration.
When Wisconsin Governor Scott Walker interpreted the mandate he received from the state’s voters to actually fulfill his campaign promises to rein in government spending and reduce the state’s massive deficit, the left lost it completely. So inflamed did they become that they abandoned all semblance of modesty and started scratching themselves with abandon in front of national and international cameras. The net result was that Governor Walker prevailed, thereby saving his state multimillions and starting it on the road back to fiscal sanity.
When New York Congressman Peter King, Chairman of the House Committee on Homeland Security, instituted hearings on March 10th to explore the Islamic radicalization of American Muslims, the left bought thousands of forks so they could use them to scratch themselves silly while their fingernails were growing back from the Gov. Walker itching attack. Dozens of individuals and groups citing bogus “discrimination” of Muslims came out in numbers, practically scratching their own eyes out in frustration. These are only five out of dozens if not hundreds of examples of the immensely successful push-back that Republicans, centrist Democrats, and Independents have achieved in spite of the frighteningly fascistic nature of the leftists in power.
There is no force quite as powerful as We the People of the United States of America, as our Armed Forces have proven in the wars we’ve fought and as the grassroots have proven since January 2009.

“In the summer of 2008 as McCain and Obama were in the midst of their campaigns to capture the presidency, a series of events dramatically changed the focus of the campaign from Iraq to the economy. From that point on, Obama took the lead and eventually won the presidency.
Now, a full two years later, the Pentagon has issued a report on the series of events that led to the 2008 economic crash. Bill Gertz writes in the Washington Times:
Notable for its absence is any suggestion that the economic events that arguably catapulted Obama into the White House may have originated in our own political system.
Consider: The economic house of cards started tumbling on June 26, 2008, when Senator Chuck Schumer leaked a memo questioning the solvency of IndyMac bank. This memo precipitated a run on IndyMac, which led to its failure. Federal regulators pointedly cited U.S. Sen. Charles Schumer, D-N.Y., in explaining the bank’s failure.
“The immediate cause of the closing was a deposit run that began and continued after the public release of a June 26 letter to the OTS and the FDIC from Senator Charles Schumer of New York.”
As I wrote in February of 2009, this event, coupled with the Lehman Brothers collapse in September, marked the beginning of the current economic meltdown and provided the environment that enabled Barack Obama to focus on the economy instead of his position on Iraq – and, not incidentally, resulted in his election as President.

Sept. 6, 2008: Fannie Mae begins its downward spiral, which will end with a crash in November. This crash was avoidable, as the problems with Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac were identified in June of 2006, when 15 Republicans on the Senate Banking Committee introduced legislation to address the problem. Democrats, led by Barney Frank, killed the reform efforts.
Sept. 15, 2008: Obama and McCain are virtually tied in their race for the presidency. Out of no-where, in the space of less than 2 hours, the Federal Reserve noticed a tremendous drawdown of money market accounts in the U.S. to the tune of $550 billion. Rep. Paul Kanjorski of Pennsylvania said that if authorities had not closed the banks, $5.5 trillion would have been withdrawn from US banks, which would have caused the collapse of the US within 24 hours.
This seminal event marked the ascendancy of Obama’s candidacy, and arguably resulted in his election as president.
Fast forward to February of 2009:
The markets reacted to Obama’s proposal to bail-out mortgages and Senator Christopher Dodd’s talk of nationalizing banks by reaching 11-year lows.
Obama continues to stoke the fears of imminent crisis, actually using the word ‘crisis’ a total of 26 times in one speech.
Enter George Soros. The infamous one-worlder, billionaire George Soros adds his voice to the media doomsayers by opining that the world financial system has effectively disintegrated, adding that there is yet no prospect of near-term resolution to the crisis.*
The series of ‘inadvertent errors’, deliberate obstruction, political shenanigans, behind the scenes manipulation of the money markets and non-stop calls for immediate infusions of taxpayer cashbrought the U.S. to its knees by February 2009. And continues to this day.
The newly issued Pentagon report, along with the media and our elected officials, seem intent on not connecting the dots, considering only foreign enemies as the possible cause of the financial meltdown:
Suspects include financial enemies in Middle Eastern states, Islamic terrorists, hostile members of the Chinese military, or government and organized crime groups in Russia, Venezuela or Iran. Chinese military officials.

I am writing to inform you that I have become extremely concerned about the supposedly legal, but questionable insider stock market trading by some of our elected officials in Congress, which occurred in the days leading up to the 2008 economic crash and seem to continue to this date.
The reasons for my concerns are as follows:
On or about March 5, 2011, there was an article published by Nancy Morgan, a columnist and news editor, that revealed that after two full years following the 2008 economic crash a Pentagon contractor had finally issued a report on the series of events that led to the crash. The report suggested that financial subversion was carried out by unknown parties, such as terrorists or hostile nations, which contributed to the crash by covertly using vulnerabilities in the U.S. financial system and that “there was sufficient justification to question whether outside forces triggered, capitalized upon or magnified the economic difficulties of 2008.”
What follows are pertinent excerpts from this article:
“Notable for its absence is any suggestion that the economic events that arguably catapulted Obama into the White House may have originated in our own political system.
Consider: The economic house of cards started tumbling on June 26, 2008, when Senator Chuck Schumer leaked a memo questioning the solvency of IndyMac bank. This memo precipitated a run on IndyMac, which led to its failure. Federal regulators pointedly cited U.S. Sen. Charles Schumer, D-N.Y., in explaining the bank’s failure.
“The immediate cause of the closing was a deposit run that began and continued after the public release of a June 26 letter to the OTS and the FDIC from Senator Charles Schumer of New York.”
As I wrote in February of 2009, this event, coupled with the Lehman Brothers collapse in September, marked the beginning of the current economic meltdown and provided the environment that enabled Barack Obama to focus on the economy instead of his position on Iraq – and, not incidentally, resulted in his election as President.

What crossed my mind when I initially read the above article was that it had to be another conspiracy theory because I couldn’t imagine that any individual and/or individuals within our own government would be that corrupt, unethical and heartless to either allow and/or do anything that would contribute to an economic crash that literally destroyed so many American’s lives, but much to my dismay, I discovered that it was no conspiracy theory when I read a CBS News Report that was published on November 13, 2011, along with viewing a CBS 60 Minutes broadcast that aired on November 14, 2011, that revealed that in the days leading up to the 2008 economic crash some of our elected officials in Congress had made a variety of insider stock trades, which ultimately enriched them and their families while millions of Americans lost their jobs, homes and life savings.
What follows are pertinent excerpts from this CBS News report:
“The next national election is now less than a year away and congressmen and senators are expending much of their time and their energy raising the millions of dollars in campaign funds they’ll need just to hold onto a job that pays $174,000 a year.
Few of them are doing it for the salary and all of them will say they are doing it to serve the public. But there are other benefits: Power, prestige, and the opportunity to become a Washington insider with access to information and connections that no one else has, in an environment of privilege where rules that govern the rest of the country, don’t always apply to them….
Most former congressmen and senators manage to leave Washington – if they ever leave Washington – with more money in their pockets than they had when they arrived, and as you are about to see, the biggest challenge is often avoiding temptation.
Peter Schweizer: This is a venture opportunity. This is an opportunity to leverage your position in public service and use that position to enrich yourself, your friends, and your family.
Peter Schweizer is a fellow at the Hoover Institution, a conservative think tank at Stanford University. A year ago he began working on a book about soft corruption in Washington with a team of eight student researchers, who reviewed financial disclosure records. It became a jumping off point for our own story, and we have independently verified the material we’ve used.
Schweizer says he wanted to know why some congressmen and senators managed to accumulate significant wealth beyond their salaries, and proved particularly adept at buying and selling stocks.
Schweizer: There are all sorts of forms of honest grafts that congressmen engage in that allow them to become very, very wealthy. So it’s not illegal, but I think it’s highly unethical, I think it’s highly offensive, and wrong.
Steve Kroft: What do you mean honest graft?
Schweizer: For example insider trading on the stock market. If you are a member of Congress, those laws are deemed not to apply.
Kroft: So congressman get a pass on insider trading?
Schweizer: They do. The fact is, if you sit on a healthcare committee and you know that Medicare, for example, is—is considering not reimbursing for a certain drug that’s market moving information. And if you can trade stock on—off of that information and do so legally, that’s a great profit making opportunity. And that sort of behavior goes on.
Kroft: Why does Congress get a pass on this?
Schweizer: It’s really the way the rules have been defined. And the people who make the rules are the political class in Washington. And they’ve conveniently written them in such a way that they don’t apply to themselves.
The buying and selling of stock by corporate insiders who have access to non-public information that could affect the stock price can be a criminal offense, just ask hedge fund manager Raj Rajaratnam who recently got 11 years in prison for doing it. But, congressional lawmakers have no corporate responsibilities and have long been considered exempt from insider trading laws, even though they have daily access to non-public information and plenty of opportunities to trade on it.
Schweizer: We know that during the health care debate people were trading health care stocks. We know that during the financial crisis of 2008 they were getting out of the market before the rest of America really knew what was going on.
In mid September 2008 with the Dow Jones Industrial average still above ten thousand, Treasury Secretary Hank Paulson and Federal Reserve Chairman Ben Bernanke were holding closed door briefings with congressional leaders, and privately warning them that a global financial meltdown could occur within a few days. One of those attending was Alabama Representative Spencer Bachus, then the ranking Republican member on the House Financial Services Committee and now its chairman.
Schweizer: These meetings were so sensitive—that they would actually confiscate cell phones and Blackberries going into those meetings. What we know is that those meetings were held one day and literally the next day Congressman Bachus would engage in buying stock options based on apocalyptic briefings he had the day before from the Fed chairman and treasury secretary. I mean, talk about a stock tip.
While Congressman Bachus was publicly trying to keep the economy from cratering, he was privately betting that it would, buying option funds that would go up in value if the market went down. He would make a variety of trades and profited at a time when most Americans were losing their shirts….”

I have to admit that I totally agree with Mr. Schweizer’s statement contained in the above CBS News report, which is that “it is unethical, highly offensive, and wrong for members of Congress to be able to legally use non-public insider information they obtain during their official duties to make well-timed stock market trades in the very industries that they regulate” and believe that those members that used the non-public insider information to make stock market trades in the days leading up to the 2008 economic crash while millions of Americans lost their shirts and are still trading should be impeached or voted out of office and not be allowed to serve in public again.
Additionally, the following recent article and video revealed an ongoing land grab movement by members of both the Democratic and Republican party, along with other hedge fund managers, which will require Americans to give up their individual freedoms, personal property and redistribute their wealth. I am outraged that American’s across the country are not out in the streets protesting these repulsive actions by our elected officials and hedge fund managers. I also wonder why the “Occupy Wall Street” protestors were not protesting some of their own Congressmen that are still taking part in the insider trading and land grab movement, along with Wall Street, big corporations and banks.
What I find just as deplorable, reprehensible and unforgiving is not only that these actions are contributing to the further destruction of so many American’s lives, but now, as a result of the failure of the Congressional defense-reduction super-committee to do their job, which I now see as another distracter, we will experience additional tax hikes for the middle class, along with cuts to the Defense budget, especially when we’re asking our military to do more, will not only send a “horrible message” to Americans here at home and abroad, but “our adversaries and our enemies all across the world.” And, if our President (Commander-In-Chief) is willing to put politics over the men and women that we have in uniform serving all over this country and world that were asked to stand on freedom’s ramparts and protect us so that we could enjoy a Merry Christmas, instead of looking at places within the executive branch where he can look at agencies, failed programs, and duplicative programs that could be put on the table for now, I believe the president is being misguided.
I hope and pray that you were not one of our elected officials that profited by making well-timed stock market insider trades during the economic events that led to the 2008 economic crash, along with the ongoing land grab movement and would urge you to consider sponsoring and/or supporting a bill that would prohibit members of Congress and staffers from using knowledge gained from their jobs to trade in securities and a bill that would put a stop to the land grab movement.
I look forward to hearing back from you regarding this extremely disturbing matter, along with the numerous other issues that I shared with you in my letter of November 23, 2011, which I believe are just as important and, if not immediately dealt with, they will continue to covertly erode our Constitutional Rights and/or Bill of Rights and ultimately destroy our state, country and our Republic, which seems to be the ultimate goal by some within our own government or country.
